AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!If I could give zero I would. Absolutely awful company, and an absolute rip of compared to others. I thought by paying a bit more, I would get great service, oh how wrong I was. Was told I'd have two vans for the move, was sent one, they unloaded boxes into the garden of the new house and left them there. Everything was just thrown into a box and into the van, countless items were damaged and lost. About 10 picture frames were among the broken items, they took them back with a promise to have them re framed, and continuously lied to me about getting them back. It took the guts of 9 months to go through their insurance company to try recoup some of the costs of damages. They never re-framed anything, and returned the box of pictures in an even worse condition. So much was broken, shelves, storage boxes, even Children's bunk beds and baby cot, they lost parts too, so the bunks couldn't be used. They attempted to 'fix' the cot with a bit of plastic. They are an absolute joke of a company. A year later, I am still trying to repair and replace things they messed up. The sales woman was quite pushy for money, in my naivety I thought this was normal, but her partner, Gerard was even worse. Saying it would cost another 500 if everything wasn't unloaded that night. Even though they had broken so much stuff, it was impossible to put the beds and cots back together for the children to sleep.
We had little choice for removal companies as our move was at such late notice. We went with these guys despite some bad reviews as they gave a mid price out of the quotes we had. DON'T DO IT. They didn't care about any of our belongings and everything was too much trouble. They were paid to dismantle furniture and build it at our new place but most of the items they dismantled were ripped apart and damaged and never put back together again. Books were chucked into boxes with torn and bent pages and plants were covered with books and wiring etc. Boxes were labelled incorrectly meaning unpacking took FOREVER because we had no idea what was in what box. Most of my Christmas baubles were broken, the list goes on. Moving house is stressful enough and this company made it 10 x worse. Two members of the team were nice guys but sadly their team leader wasn't leading them very well at all. They also had no tools for the job and had to use mine... which went missing!
Nice to see that Gerald Baxter thinks Gerald Baxter's company deserves 5 stars. Interesting to see all the other 5 star reviews are short and as poorly written as Gerald's replies. I wonder if that is just a coincidence. Please do not book with this man's company.
Had 3 quotes and went with Synergy who were in the middle. A good and friendly service up until we have unpacked and realised that 2 out of the 3 men that packed our stuff were lazy/ clueless. Frames damaged, shoes squashed under saucepans and a realisation that the packing service was simply chuck it all in a box as quick as possible! As I said though, 1 of the blokes was top class and experienced but the other 2 were clearly untrained hod carriers
Cant agree with earlier comments, I booked Move-Synergy and they were fantastic. Roisin in the office was in touch constantly and on the day of the move the 3 man team worked tirelessly all day in 30 degree heat and carrying boxes and heavy furniture down a steep incline. At he other end they even helped my disabled Mum into the new property in my absence! (much appreciated) I have more possession in Storage currently and will be definitely be using Move-Synergy again.
