Do not use Alex, he is a completely incompetent and NOT qualified. If I could leave no stars, I would. I had a brand new kitchen privately installed and waited 9 months before I decided to have the walls tiled as I wanted to make sure I used the right professional. How wrong was I.I had to ask Alex if he used my butter knife to cut the metro tiles as they were jagged, chunks missing and clearly a sharp tile cutter was not used and non of the tiles were cut straight. The grouting was incomplete in 30% of the areas, some spaces had no grouting, some had air bubbles. The caulking was a right mess, all lumpy/bumpy and messy over my brand new cupboards and beautiful oak counter. Gloopy around my farmers sink... I was mortified and devastated. I had scratches on my oak counters, the wall sockets werent secured properly and the best part was Alex hadnt tiled all the way to the base of the cupboards saying I didnt think you wanted the tiles all the way..... I had text Alex to explain I was devastated and unhappy. His initially response was abrupt but then later replied with a semi forced customer service reply. Alex came round to speak with me where I was as polite as possible in expressing my disappointment. I had paid Alex 250 and when I asked for a partial refund, he gave me the typical shpiel yes okay, I dont want you to be unhappy and Ill have a think about how we can rectify this. THERE WAS NO WAY I WOULD ALLOW HIM BACK IN MY HOUSE! That was the end, I got a text saying I offered to redo the work and as you declined the offer I dont need to refund you.I reported the scroundrel to HM Revenue as I paid cash with no receipt. As a woman on her own, Alex took advantage of me and had my husband been home to handle the situation I think the outcome of Alexs unprofessionalism would have been very different.
Cant believe this man is still in business dont touch him. Interested to see only other rating was his wife who gave him 5 stars. Very poor workmanship and wouldnt come back to sort. Bath has turned yellow and we are now having to replace
